The Ultimate 3 Days 2 Nights Camiguin Itinerary 2025 Planning a trip to Camiguin in 2025? This comprehensive 3 Days...
White Island in Camiguin, Philippines, is a pristine, naked sandbar with stunning scenery of Mount Hibok-Hibok. This guide will cover all you need to know on transportation, fees, the best time to visit, and what to expect when you arrive.
Upon arrival at the ferry terminal, you’ll need to pay both an entrance fee and the boat fare.
As of August 2025, the entrance fee is ₱50 or $1.00 per person. The boat fare is ₱550 or $10.00 per trip, with a maximum of six people per boat.
If you’re traveling solo, you can wait for another group and split the fare with them.
Local stores within the ferry terminal offer life jacket and snorkel rentals if you plan to snorkel at White Island.
During our trip, we rented a life jacket and snorkel for ₱250 or $4.00 for the day and even brought it along for our Mantigue Island adventure.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy once you arrive at White Island. You can take videos or photos with Mount Hibok-Hibok as the backdrop for your next Instagram post.
You can also snorkel in the surrounding waters and soak in the island’s turquoise beauty. If you’d rather skip the swim and just relax on the sand, there are locals who offer beach towel and umbrella rentals.
Some locals also sell a fresh catch of “saang”, a local term for an edible sea snail typically paired with vinegar. It costs ₱100 or $2.00 for three pieces.

To enjoy the island to the fullest and avoid the tourist rush, I personally recommend visiting at sunrise. During our trip, we arrived at the ferry terminal as early as 5:00 AM.
White Island is one of Camiguin’s most popular destinations, and to truly appreciate its beauty, it’s best to get there as early as possible.
Another reason to visit White Island at sunrise is that the island is completely naked. There’s no natural shade available once the sun is up, which can be uncomfortable for some visitors.
